ASM posts another win in the NASCAR Camping World East Series as honors are passed on to Austin Dillon and the #3 Garage Equipment Supply Team.

Harrisburg, NC (April 23, 2008) Austin Dillon was awarded the win from the - An American Revolution 150 presented by Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet at Greenville-Pickens Speedway this week, and became only the third driver in the NASCAR Camping World Series East history to post a victory in their first career start, and the only driver in all of NASCAR history to take the win by default. Dillon initially celebrated a runner-up finish at the event, but was given the win after ASM Motorsports’ teammate Peyton Sellers had the victory stripped away from him from NASCAR for an unintentional rules infraction.

“I wanted to win bad, but not this way,” said the 17-year old rookie Austin Dillon. “We know who won the race and it doesn’t matter, there is still a victory in it for all of us at ASM no matter who’s name is at the top of the board. This is a great organization and it is an honor to work with Andy Santerre. This won't be the last time you'll see the ASM Camping World East Series cars finishing first and second.”

When asked about the win, crew chief of the #3 Garage Equipment Supply Chevrolet, Lance Deiters commented. “Its like going fishing, finding a dead bass and taking it home to mount it…it’s just not the same.” “We couldn’t be more proud of Austin he put himself on the map at Greenville-Pickens and we believe this is just the beginning for him.”

“I keep saying it, Austin is the real deal,” bragged ASM owner, Andy Santerre. “I couldn’t be more proud of him.  He made people take notice even before he was awarded the win.   He lead the most laps and handled lapped traffic like a veteran.”

Dillon, the 17-year rookie who drives the #3 Garage Equipment Supply Chevrolet, led 75 laps of the season-opening event, but lost the lead to Sellers on a lap 128 restart. He remained a constant threat for the remainder of the race and took the checkers only .844 seconds behind Sellers. Austin Dillon and the #3 Garage Equipment Supply team will take over the point lead as the series heads into Iowa Speedway’s US Cellular 200.
