PASS & ACT Teams Invited to Participate in Busch Sport Scene Charity Ride
Several NASCAR teams have already announced plans to participate in the 10th Annual Busch Sport Scene Snowmobile Ride for Charity in Rangeley, Maine on January 31, 2009. Event organizer and Busch Sport Scene publisher George 'Soup' Campbell also wants teams from the two leading full-bodied stock car racing tours in New England to know they are welcome to join the event too.
"This growing charity event has always been open to everyone, race fans and teams alike, from everywhere and anywhere," Campbell said. "But this year a special invitation is being put forth to the teams and officials from both the Pro All Star Series and the American Canadian Tour. We would like to see even more racers from around the region come see what the event is all about and join the fun this year."
NASCAR Team members who present their 2008 or 2009 NASCAR license will get $5 off the price of their ride credential / event pass on the day of the event. PASS and ACT Teams are now being offered the same discount. All ACT and PASS team members that present either their 2008 or 2009 licenses will receive $5 off their ride credential or event pass that evening. The ride credential is good for all related activities through out the day.
The event includes a Poker Run snowmobile ride during the day followed by a full evening of entertainment. The evening's festivities will include a live auction loaded with lots of great sports memorabilia and racing related items and race tickets. The 2008 Busch Sport Scene Driver of the Year will be announced at the event and the popular Mainely Motorsports TV show will be on hand taping the days events. A comedy show featuring two nationally known comedians will cap of the full day of events.
The proceeds go to several charities including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maine Special Olympics, Travis Roy Foundation, Rangeley Snowmobile Club, Busch Sport Scene Scholarship Fund and the Camping World Series Women's Auxiliary and their various charities.
Tickets will be $15 the day of the event. Busch Sport Scene is a
New England based sports magazine. Current Busch Sport Scene
subscribers will receive a $5 discount on the day of the event,
as will NASCAR, PASS & ACT team members that present their
licenses.
