Sean Caisse
To Test With Venturini Motorsports at 'The Rock' TOLEDO OH (3-11-09) - Pelham, New Hampshire rookie Sean Caisse didn't win an ARCA RE/MAX Series race in 2008, but he came about as close as you can get. With nothing firmed up for the 2009 season, an opportunity with Venturini Motorsports will get Caisse back behind the wheel in this Saturday's open test at Rockingham Speedway. "I am thrilled and excited to be linking with ARCA's powerhouse team, Venturini Motorsports for the open test at Rockingham," said Caisse. "I know they have prepared me a great car, and I can't wait to get behind the wheel." Caisse, in Toyotas fielded by Shigeaki Hattori, competed in five ARCA RE/MAX Series events in 2008 with impressive results. The former NASCAR Camping World East Series standout earned career-best finishes of second at Kentucky Speedway and fifth at Salem Speedway. However, the stat sheet certainly did not reveal the entire story. Caisse dominated the race at Nashville Superspeedway with a whopping 94-laps led before an altercation with another car while racing for the lead left his car too damaged to contend. Caisse also dominated the race at Michigan Int'l Speedway with 51 laps led; unfortunately a cut tire, while leading, dropped him from the lead lap. Caisse, who also earned the Menards Pole Award by Ansell at Kentucky, was also leading there before another competitor turned him, which resulted in heavy contact with the wall and a DNF on the result sheet. If nothing else, Caisse's '08 debut in the ARCA RE/MAX Series left little doubt that he is quite capable of winning at this level. At any rate, Caisse is eager to carry on with the opportunities before him. "This opportunity to get back behind the wheel of an ARCA RE/MAX Series car is a great one, and I'm looking forward to being there with Venturini Motorsports." Venturini Motorsports, with driver Joey Logano, dominated the ARCA RE/MAX Series race at Rockingham in 2008. "Sean Caisse is an extraordinarily talented young driver, and I am excited to have this opportunity to work with him at the Rockingham test," said Billy Venturini. "Our team has prepared a fast race car, and I look forward to getting Sean out there."
