Sellers Bitten at Dover, Returns to the Race Despite Early Incident

Dover, DE.:  The 'Monster Mile' was in rare form for Saturday's NASCAR
Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway.  And it appeared
that Peyton Sellers would be its first victim of the day.

Sellers qualified 25th in the field with a speed of 151.707 mph.  The team
was forced to go to a backup car following contact with the wall during
practice on Friday.

At the drop of the green flag for the start of the Heluva Good! 200 on
Saturday, the field bunched up quickly in front of Sellers.  Although he
had initially avoided contact with the car immediately ahead of him, the
#77 SFP Chevrolet was struck from behind and the chain reaction pushed
Sellers hard into the rear of the car ahead.

The impact cut the right front tire which went on the first turn and threw
Sellers hard into the wall bringing out the first caution of the night.

The crew took the car to the garage and immediately started repairs.
Sellers was back on track by lap 70.  He advanced steadily during the
remainder of the race to finish in 31st place.  The track claimed 16
drivers in the 43 car field who failed to finish.

The mile long track is noted for its steep 24 degree banking, harsh
concrete surface, and near three story drop from the front stretch into
turn one.

"We'd been here before, so we knew what this track was all about", said
Sellers.  "I really enjoy running here and we had a good car again, but
sometimes things just happen that are out of your control.  We made the
best of the situation though and got back out there as fast as we could."

Cardinal Motorsports is a new team this season, with Peyton Sellers behind
the wheel for ten NASCAR Nationwide Series races with primary sponsor SFP
of Leawood, Kansas.

The team is now preparing for its fifth race in the series at the
Milwaukee Mile on June 20th.  That same week, Sellers will travel to
Kansas City for the annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills
Conference.  Sellers is a national spokesperson for the non-profit student
organization.  The week-long event will feature over 14,000 attendees,
with students competing in 91 different skilled trade disciplines.

Cardinal Motorsports is also sponsored by Jig-A-Loo USA and Bosch, both of
whom are supporters of SkillsUSA.
