Peyton Sellers to Debut at Sponsor’s Hometown Track

Welcome, NC:  Taking the track in his tenth of eleven planned races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Peyton Sellers has a little added inspiration this weekend:  the Kansas Lottery 300 is hometown track to SFP, his primary sponsor.

“This is an important race for us,” said Sellers.  “We’re coming to Kansas with a great car and a focused team.  The team and I are looking forward to putting on a good show for SFP’s employees and customers.”

SFP, headquartered in Leawood, Kan., has sponsored Sellers since 2008 when he raced in NASCAR’s Camping World Series East.

“Our partnership with Peyton has allowed SFP to connect with growers and fertilizer dealers across the country,” says Jake Sanders, SFP’s vice president of market development.  “We’re looking forward to having a homecoming of pre-race activities for friends of SFP, our business partners and customers.”

SFP, a research and development company, has spent more than a decade solving some of agriculture’s long-standing fertilizer inefficiency challenges. Its two products – AVAIL®, a phosphorus fertilizer enhancer and NutriSphere-N®, a nitrogen fertilizer manager, help today’s growers maximize the efficiency of the fertilizer they apply.

The Cardinal Motorsports team will be doing double duty this weekend.  Sellers will pilot the #47 SFP Chevrolet in the ARCA RE/MAX Series race on Thursday to get some extra time on the 1.5 mile tri-oval before jumping into the #77 SFP entry for the NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday.

The team also has an association with one of the country’s largest non-profit student organizations, SkillsUSA.  Cardinal Motorsports is also sponsored by Jig-A-Loo USA and Bosch, both of whom are supporters of SkillsUSA.
