Rickys Race
for Kids Shifts to to Canaan, NH., David's House provides a home-away-from-home and support for families
with children receiving treatment through Childrens Hospital at A situation arose that gave us the opportunity to move the race
closer to Davids House and the The 112 lap modified race is run in memory of Millers son, Ricky, who died at the age of 34. family is working closely with new track manager Dick Therrien who has some great ideas.
The plan is to get the whole community involved. Friday, July 23, will feature a live radio broadcast (KIXX 100.5) from Gateway Motors, White River Junction, VT., race cars and antique cars on display, race ticket giveaways, followed by a Saturday pit party at the speedway on race day. A $1,000 cash door prize will be given away. Therrien, the newly-named general manager for the Therrien added, The Henrys, (owners Chick & Sandy) have worked hard on upgrades and race fans will be pleasantly surprised to see what has taken place at Canaan since the last time the Modified Racing Series was there. In 2007, Les Hinckley and Jon McKennedy shared victory lane. |
