NASCAR
K&N Pro Series East
Matt
Kobyluck - #40 Mohegan Sun Casino Chevrolet
- Kobyluck
is currently seventh in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship point standings
after seven of 10 races complete. His season best finish came at Lime Rock Park where he
posted a third place finish, and he has a total of two top-five and three top-10 finishes.
- Kobyluck
has 16 career victories in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
- Kobyluck
won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship in 2008 and is also a two-time winner
of the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown. Kobyluck has yet to earn a guaranteed starting
position in this year's Showdown event, which is automatic with a victory during the
regular season.
- Mohegan
Sun Casino, the
premier gaming, entertainment, meeting, dining and shopping destination on the East Coast,
is currently the longest running, continuous sponsorship in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series
East. Mohegan Sun joined Kobyluck's step into the series in 1998 and have been with the
team for the last 13 years.
- The
team will be competing at Gresham Motorsports Park with the "7" car. The number
strictly indicates sequence, but it is their most winning car of their fleet. This is the
same car that Kobyluck won the 2006 and 2008 editions of the Toyota All Star Showdown.
On Gresham Motorsports Park:
The last three races are all very important for us to have good runs. We need to
go out there and get a win or top-three's to get a respectable finish in the season end
standings. We are capable of it and these last three races are critical for that. When we
tested back in December it was only 50 degrees out so I'm not really sure what we learned
there for when we go back, but at least I'm familiar with the track. It's a fun track and
I think its going to be a fun race."
