Polewarczyk Wins ACT Invitational At New Hampshire

LOUDON, N.H. -- Joey Polewarczyk Jr. turned in the biggest performance of
his career under the brightest lights.

Polewarczyk rallied from deep in the field Saturday at New Hampshire Motor
Speedway, taking the lead seven laps from the finish to win the 2nd annual
ACT Invitational. The race was part of a tripleheader on the undercard of
Sunday's Sylvania 300 -- the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series.

Polewarczyk led a 1-2 sweep for Ford Racing with his No. 97 Pole's
Automotive/NH Precision Ford Fusion. The victory was the first in the ACT
Invitational for Ford.

"This is the biggest win of my career," said Polewarczyk, 21, of Hudson,
N.H., who earned Ford its first ACT win in July at Beech Ridge Motor
Speedway.

Polewarczyk started 29th in the 43-car field via the ACT Late Model Tour's
"handicap draw" system, and worked into the Top-10 by Lap 18. By the
midway point of the 60-lap event, he was into the Top-5.

He ran down early leaders Dan McHattie and Jamie Fisher inside the final
10 laps without any help from a caution flag, as the race went green for
the final 58 circuits. On Lap 53, Polewarczyk was in a drag race across
the start-finish line with Wayne Helliwell for the lead, and he assumed
the top spot as the two cars rolled off Turn 2.

Polewarczyk never looked back.

"It just amazing right now. We had a really good car in practice, but I
thought I used my stuff up because I had to come so far from the back,"
said Polewarczyk, who has wins at Beech Ridge and Waterford Speedbowl this
season in ACT competition. "I was just trying so many different lines

"I've got to thank all those guys for racing me clean. This is the best
tour out there. Drivers are so respectful. This is just an awesome
feeling."
