UNOH North South Showdown & Accessible Racing at Thompson Int'l Speedway Sept 10/11
Accessible Racing, in conjunction with Thompson International Speedway and Texas Road House will hold a virtual world qualifying round and stock car driving experience at Thompson Speedway in Thompson CT Sept 10 & 11. VXP driving simulator powered by iRacing.com software develops muscle memory, in addition to the motor skills necessary to qualify for the world's only "Arrive & Drive" stock car driving experience for persons with physical disabilities.
Accessible Racing (AR), a non-profit organization, was created to help the newly disabled begin developing driving skills using the VXP virtual driving simulator. Once they master the virtual world, drivers can transition seamlessly to real world applications. AR provides the only NASCAR-style racecar modified for wheelchair users, and features an accessible driver's door that opens to 90 degrees. The car also includes specialty features such as dual seats, low resistant steering, hand control brakes and gas pedals, and an instructor's side brake and steering for safety.
Accessible Racing invite Wounded Warriors and persons with disabilities to test drive & qualify on VXP Driving Simulator for a chance to DRIVE HOT LAPS with NASCAR National Champion Keith Rocco riding shot gun September 11 at 12:00 sharp, prior to 300 laps of NASCAR North South SHOWDOWN. Accessible Racing sponsored by VXP driving simulator and iRacing.com develops virtual world driving skills that transition seamlessly to real world applications. In addition, Members of Congress, Senate and Veterans Administration have expressed interest in incorporating the Accessible Racing program in rehabilitation facilities to help disabled veterans get on the fast track to recovery and begin reintegrating into society with education and job training that transfers existing skills to new applications.

Mobility freedom may be driving the racecar for some, for others it may be regaining the freedom to drive to the corner store for a loaf of bread or pick the kids up from soccer practice after work. But for all, mobility is something purposeful that we would like to give back. Please contact us to be part of this North South NASCAR celebration and feel proud to support a great cause,
Brian E. Hanaford
